Naperville police are again reminding residents to lock their cars overnight and remove the keys, after three cars were stolen from the same neighborhood.
When and Where
Police say the car thefts occurred between Oct. 9 and Oct. 14 in the Maplebrook subdivision, northwest of 75th and Washington streets. Eight other vehicles were burglarized during that same time period.
The burglaries and thefts specifically occurred on on Sandalwood Drive, Elmwood Drive, Osage Lane, Tamarack Avenue and Tupelo Avenue.
All vehicles had been left unlocked, and those that were stolen had the keys left inside.
Establish a Routine
Police suggest residents have a nighttime routine of removing valuables from your vehicles, locking up vehicles and exterior house doors, and turn on outdoor lights.
