Crashing into theaters in February will be Marvel’s “Black Panther.”
“Chadwick Boseman takes the lead as a leader of an African tribe who becomes empowered with superhero skills,” said Mark Mazrimas, marketing manager for Classic Cinemas.
And “The 15:17 to Paris” brings us the true story of three U.S. men who thwart an ISIS attack on a train in Brussels.
“It’s directed by the legend Clint Eastwood, and I understand that he has cast the three real-life heroes playing themselves in this movie, so we’ll see if he can pull this off,” said Mazrimas.
A beloved favorite is back with a “Wrinkle in Time,” starring Chris Pine, Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon.
“A girl’s father disappears, and she is visited by three beings that take her and her brother and a friend in space to help her find her father,” Mazrimas explained.
In April Steven Spielberg brings us “Ready Player One.”
“It takes us back to the future with a lot of nostalgic things that we all grew up with,” said Mazrimas. “You’re going to be looking for a lot of Easter eggs that he is going to place in this movie.”
In June we get “Ocean’s Eight” with Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Rihanna as “a group of women who are going to show that eight women can do the job of 11 men,” Mazrimas said.
And wrapping up a fantastic year of movies will be “Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindlewald.”
“Eddie Redmayne returns as the favorite Hogwarts wizard and is battling a new dark wizard played by Johnny Depp. The interesting thing in this film is you want to look for Jude Law, who’s going to be introduced as a young Dumbledore,” said Mazrimas.
