Witches were casting spells all night at Naper Settlement for the inaugural Witches Night Out Naperville.

The Naperville Women’s Club fundraiser sold out to 700 guests, which supports Families Helping Families.

“They help women who are coming out of situations of homelessness or domestic abuse and who want to improve their lives through education,” said President of Naperville Women’s Club, Julie Cunningham. “So they support their efforts to get a place to live and stabilize their lives and start getting an education to get a job to support themselves and their children.”

A witch’s bazaar, psychic readings, and ghost stories were all part of the bewitching evening.

“I thought it was a really good cause and it was great to have a sense of community with all the women in Naperville,” said Naperville resident Jillian Langer.

I actually wasn’t aware of the event and she told me about it and obviously when I saw it was supporting women and children in poverty I signed up right then. I also saw that it sold out so coming to an event where we could support women and children in need and also local charities, and also to just get out with each other and get to dress up as witches,” said Jennie Manderscheid, also a Naperville resident.

Witches Night Out will also support additional charities and future Naperville Women’s Club events.

Women helping women in need for a wickedly good time.
