Benet Academy, coming off a big win over Glenbard North, travel to Naperville North to face the Huskies. The huskies sit 3 and 3 on the season so far and look to push themselves over the 500 mark.
SECOND INNING
We jump to the top of the second, Benet already leading 1-0 with a runner on second. Bridget Linders drives in a run with a single to left, Redwings double their lead 2-0. .
Bottom of the second now, bases loaded for North. Allison Arnold ate her Wheaties this morning. Swinging for the fences, she knocks the grand slam out of the park bringing her teammates out of the dugout. North now up 4-2.
Still the bottom of the second with runners and first and second. Camelia Chelich doubles down the line to bring in two runs. North up 6-2.
FOURTH INNING
Bottom of the fourth now, Kendall Kedziora steps up to the plate with runners at 1 and 2. She hits a deep double to center bringing in 2 RBIs, North extending their lead 13-2.
FIFTH INNING
Top of the fifth now, Benet looking to stop the bleeding. MacKenzie Relihan cracks one to center for an RBI. Benet trailing 13-5.
FINAL
Norths pitching was pretty on the nose today too. Camelia Chelich strikes out Bridget Linders to end the threat and North grabs the victory 13-7.
