Benet’s Jaimee Cibulka took a leading pass from Abby Casmere in double over time of the state final goal and found twine to win the state championship and this week’s Play of the Week, presented by Aurelio’s of Naperville.
The Play
Benet Academy made history with their girls soccer team this past week so we have to look back at their state final game for the play of the week. Game knotted at one in double over time and the wings do not want to go to Pentaly Kicks. Abby Casmere fighting with a defender towards the goal and she loses her with a nice little spin move but also seems to lose the ball… but she doesn’t… it was a nice leading pass to Jaimee Cibulka who has virtually a clean look at the net and she boots it in for the wings to take the trophy home in class 2A. The timing and team work with Abby Casmere working downfield and then assisting with Jamiee Cibulka’s great goal wins them this week’s play of the week.
