A battle of the Mustangs in the Friday session of pool play for the Wheaton Warrenville South Tiger classic features Metea Valley and Downers Grove South. Both teams looking to make the silver bracket after falling to Lincoln Way West.

Downers South battles all the way through the first set and lead 27-26 and a meeting at the net goes the way of the blue and white as Downers takes a thrilling first set 28-26.
Metea Valley building another lead in set two as Sunil Bhuvanagiri reels off back to back aces to put his team up 7-3.
Metea serving with the game tied midway through the set, MV looks to set up a kill for Ryan Owens but its blocked at the net and Downers goes in front.
Downers South looking to put this one away as Jack Tishler somehow digs the ball out and gets it over with the help of Brad Gall, Chris Cossyleon then finishes the point with the block. Great defense from the Mustangs as Downers Grove South takes the hard fought two set win.
