Regional baseball starting up as Naperville North hosts East Aurora in the quarterfinals, the Huskies send Logan Nardi to the bump looking to shut down the Tomcats after winning the DVC tournament championship.

Third Inning

On a chilly day with the wind blowing straight in, the offense is hard to come bay in the first few innings as Logan Nardi ends the top of the third with a strikeout.

Huskies get on the board in the bottom of the inning, after a Quinn Sheehan single and stolen base, Cliff Vickers drives him in with a line drive single to right, 1-0 North.

The Huskies look to add on with two on and two out, but East Aurora pitcher Andrew Camis escapes the jam as Orlando Garcia catches Jacob Scharm’s sinking liner to end the frame.

Fourth Inning

North using small ball to get the offense going in the 4th, Noah Williams reaches with a bunt single and the throw gets away, Nate Snedic comes in to score, runners on 2nd and third with nobody out.

The next batter is Quinn Sheehan and he makes it a 3-0 game with a sac fly to left, Ben Lindflott scores from third, Williams tags up from 2nd and heads to third.

Mike Bruebach keeps the line moving as he lines a single into right with the infield drawn in, Williams scores from third, 4-0 Huskies at the end of 4.

Seventh Inning

Logan Nardi cruising from there, thanks to some timely defense. He gets Juan Lopez looking in the 7th, one of 8 strikeouts in the game for the lefty as Naperville North moves on to the regional semi finals after a 4-0 win. Plainfield North awaits in the next round.
