First Inning

Camelia Chelich on the mound for the huskies and she got to work right away. Top of the first and she grabs two strike outs en reoute to a 1,2,3 inning for the sophomore.

Chelich hoping her team can help her cause in the bottom of the first. Runner on first and Emma Johannes lays down the bunt and beats out the throw. East Aurora makes an error and Eyberger gets from first all the way to home thanks to some heads up base running. North leads 1-0.

Still the bottom of the first and the bases are loaded with 2 away. East Aurora’s Vivian Bahena strikes out Allison Arnold to get her out of trouble and end the inning.

Third Inning

Bottom of the third with no outs and a runner at first. Huskie Alyssa Vansickle rips a double to left field. Pushing Emma Johannes to third.

Still the bottom of the third, runners in scoring position for Chelich. She does them both a favor and lifts one to left field, bringing in Johannes and Vansickle for the huskies to go up 3-0.

Fourth Inning

Top of the 4th and Chelich is just dealing at this point with 7 strike outs and a perfect game so far but you know what they say… don’t talk about the perfect game or else you’ll jinx it. Ariel Reyna hits a single to spoil perfection but that’s about all the Tomcats offense would create.

Still the top of the fourth and the huskie pitcher dusts herself off after allowing two hits in the inning. She strikes out three batters in the inning to get out of the jam helping her to 14 Ks on the day.

Fifth Inning

Bottom of the fifth and the Huskie offense really starting to show up as they score 6 runs in the inning including this single to left by Kendall Kedziora bringing in Allison Arnold. At the end of the fifth, North leads 9-0.

Huskies try to end it before it helps they have runners in scoring position. Sarah Smith hits a sac fly to left to bring in Natalia Wagner, hitting ten runs to end the game. North advances to play Downers Grove North.
