It’s time for the annual Gus Scott Invite at Naperville North… and we kick off the event with the boys 800 meters.
800 Meter Run
One the first lap Benet’s Clin Luwanja is looking strong with the lead and he is able to keep pace to cross the line in second, North’s Griffin Blecke gets third.
Triple Jump
Let’s head over to the field events, with Benet’s Peter Breen. He leaps 41 feet, 11 and a half inches to grab third.
400 Meter Run
We head back to the track and under the lights with the 400 meter race. Downt he stretch and North;s Will Debolt picks up a big first place finish with a time of 51.74 seconds.
1600 Meter Run
Let’s do a longer race… the 16 hundred. Nick Tratner enters the race with the top time and he proves it’s no joke. He crosses in a time of 4 minutes 26 point 88 seconds. Benet’s Connor O’Keefe crosses in third.
4 x 400 Meter Relay
Lot’s of hype behind the last race of the night. The 4 by 400 meter relay. First exchange and Benet’s Brendon Carter gives the Redwings an early lead. Final handoff and North has jumped in to the top spot with Benet right behind them and the Huskies are able to hold on. Griffin Blecke runs a great leg and is able to cement the huskies win for the event with 140 points, Benet comes in second with 116 points.
