Let’s travel over to Naperville Central where the Mustangs from Metea Valley ride their three game win streak into the match. The Redhawks look to bounce back after losing to Naperville North.
First Half
In the first half, Metea moving down the field. Alexander Krehl with the ball just flings one to the net and it glides in. Metea up 1-0.
Second Half
Second half action, the Redhawks looking to even up the game. Off the bounce of the throw in, Metea’s Ghandi Cruz comes up to grab the ball but injures his foot. Krehl comes in as his replacement.
Just a little while later, off the bounce Roman Krupka scores on Krehl to even up the score. Cruz would return after resting his foot to a tie game.
Still in the second half, the mustangs with another penalty kick. The Redhawk defense stops the shot… then goalie Caden Redpath stops another shot… Metea still looking to break the tie but Redpath is there again to keep the 1-1 game.
Over Time
Now we move in to overtime. Redhawk Owen Jarrell makes an impressive save and then passes it to Jame Kim, who heads it but it goes right off the post. Score still tied.
Into the 2nd overtime now and Metea closing in with a few minutes left. Metea Valley gets a shot off but Redpath falls on the ball and this game will end in a tie.
