Naperville Central girls golf feeling good on a sunny afternoon at Naperbrook as the Redhawks host the Mustangs from Metea Valley in a DVC dual.
Hole #1
Right off the bat, Metea Valley with some strong putting as Karizma Bodhanwala buries this one to start her day off with a five.
Hole #3
Over to the third hole, and fellow Mustang Heidi Gabriel reads the green well, playing the break right into the cup for a bogey.
Hole #8
Over to number 8 and Neha Vinesh finds a spot close to the pin with her tee shot. The senior would go on to finish with a par on the hole.
Also on the 8th, Madi Palmquist from Metea follows suit by reaching the green, eventually earning a par of her own.
8th hole green and the Mustangs to continue to show improved putting as Jessica Leibfritz knocks down this lengthy putt to save par.
After a tee shot that went wide right, Bella Russo chipping off the green and she perfectly lands the ball in front of the hole and lets it roll 6 inches from the cup! An easy tap in leads to a par.
Redhawks senior Emma Lim not in a fun spot after her tee shot finds the sand, but she certainly makes the best of it buy chipping in for birdie! Masterfully done by Lim, who leads all golfers with a 41 on the day.
Hole #9
Moving over to the 9th hole, Abby Terada using some body language to get this putt to fall for par, let’s count it up…and yeah that’s a par!
Off the green and boy have the Redhawks been chipping well near the green, Becki Zhang nearly gets this one to go herself as her shot spins just inches wide from a birdie. Zhang with a 45 after tapping in for par.
Emma Lim not done with her chipping showcase, she nearly gets another birdie from off the green. Another easy par tap in for NC.
Neha Vinesh with a show start and a strong finish as she hits this putt to end her day with back to back pars and a 42. Redhawks take the team victory as well.
