Metea’s Zach Taylor was the first boy gymnast from Metea Valley to qualify for the state tournemant qualifying him for this week’s play of the week, presented by Aurelio’s in Naperville.
The Play
Boys play of the week and we hit the sectional boys gymnastics mat with Metea’s individual competitor Zach Taylor. He goes full speed ahead on the vault and lands his layout at his first high school meet ever. Pretty big stage to start your high school gymnastics career on but he does it flawlessly. The Mustang freshman scored a 9.2 on the apparatus, which was good enough for 4th place, qualifying him for state. He is the first boys gymnast from Metea to do such a thing, garnering him this weeks play of the week.
