After consecutive wins over Naperville North and Hinsdale Central, Naperville Central boys bowling returns home to take on The Valleys Co-op.  The Valleys look to erase a four-game losing streak as the two DVC teams face each other for the first time ever.  This highlight is sponsored by BMO.

Central Boys Bowling and The Valleys get the DVC matchup going

Up for the Valley is Alex Larson who throws it dead on target but needs some help to tip down the 4-pin.  He gets things going with a 203 in game one

Rivaling him on the same pair is Josh Newcom who rolls it straight at the pocket and gets the strikes going for the Redhawks.  He starts his day with a 238.

On the next pair is Brandon Blitek from Naperville Central who makes a mess of lane 17, but with a lot of pin action, he tips down the 6-pin for the strike as part of a 164 score in game one.

Back to the Valley with Jacob Weber who throws way out towards the gutter, but the ball hooks like a boomerang to the pocket and he secures the strike.  He rolls a series of 351.

Ryan Lynch ends game one for the Valley with a bang.  In his first shot, he goes way left for Brooklyn and watches the 3 and 10 pins fall like trees for the strike.  Next shot up, he goes left for Brooklyn again but sees the 9-pin fall for another strike.  He ends game one with a score of 158.

Up for Central again is DJ Benton, who double dribbles the ball on this shot but like his teammates he swooshes it in for the strike as he ends with a 536 overall series.

In game two, Shane Artega is faced with a tough 2-7-8 split spare shot, but he throws it head-on at the two-pin which flies into the back two for the spare.  A few frames later, his strike shot is high on the pocket but with more pin action he pushes down the 2-pin.  He ends the game with a 178 score for The Valleys.

Tommy Kradenpoth continues his strong senior season

Central’s Tommy Kradenpoth also gets in on split spare action.  Trying to pick up the 2-10, Kradenpoth slides over the 2-pin, and like a basketball, it bounces off the backboard and hits the 10-pin for the conversion.

Isaac Greenwood is also joining in on spare action for the Valley. Lining to pick up the 1-2-4, Greenwood hits it right on the money for another conversion, ending the day with a 301 series.

The Valley goes back on strike mode with Truman Desrosiers also going Brooklyn as he slides down the 6-pin.  His high score is a 130 in game two.

The Redhawks counter with Oliver Gardener having a strong game three.  He gets six in a row including this strike to get the senior going.  He finishes that game with his best score of 236.

Back in the lineup is Nate Taverna who wastes no time getting reacquainted.  This shot from him is also perfectly in the pocket for the strike to get his day rolling.  Then a bit later Taverna again is on target, but the message to kick down the 10-pin is received, as he rolls a 619 series to round out his day.

Leading the Valley on the day is Alex Larson who is again on point with this strike as he ends with an overall series of 513.

But leading all bowlers once again is Tommy Kradenpoth.  In game three, he blazes through all the pins for this strikes and gets the warm welcome to the sidelines from his teammates, finishing with a 257.

JV bowler Blake Amptmann steals the spotlight

While not on varsity, the highest bowler on the day is freshman Blake Amptmann in game one he starts off with 11 strikes in a row including these two in the tenth frame to set up the 300. Drawing the attention of all of Lisle Lanes, Amptmann lines up to secure the perfect game but the shot is too far in the middle leaving up two pins.  He ends game one with a 298. Following three games of varsity action, Naperville Central cruises to a dominating 859 pin  DVC win over the Valley.  The Redhawks travel to the LaSalle Peru tournament on Saturday, while The Valleys return home to face Glenbard North on Tuesday.
