Dual meet at Neuqua Valley and both DVC teams look to be in good conditions seeing they are about a month away from the post season taking off.
200 Yard Freestyle
We begin with the 200 yard freestyle relay with Neuqua’s Rachel Stege and Teammate Izzy harder competing for the top spot. Coming to the end it’ll be Stege who just edges out her teammate in 1 minute 55 point 9 seconds.
50 Yard Freestyle
Now time for the fastest race of the night, down and back once for the 50 free. Naperville Central’s Alexa Puccini finishing with the fastest time in 24 point 71 seconds. Neuqua’s Abby Jensen finishes in second.
100 Yard Butterfly
Double the distance for the 100 butterfly. Wildcats Sophie Men and Teagan Michalek up against Redhawk Morgan Sokol. The Wildcats will go one two with Mend in first in 58 point 8 seconds. Sokol would tap in 3rd.
200 Yard Freestyle Relay
After Neuqua’s Izzy Harder takes the 500 yard free, We dive in for the 200 yard free relay. Coming down to the wire, it’s neck and neck between Neuqua’s Nikki Sterchele and Central’s Puccini but the Wildcat would pull it out in 1 minute 40 point 4 seconds for first place.
100 Yard Backstroke
Flip over for the 100 yard back stroke. Neuqua’s Teagan Michalek swimming against Central’s Samantha Weigel. The Wildcat just edges out the Redhawk in this one with Michalek tapping in 1 minute 1 point 72 seconds.
400 Yard Freestyle Relay
We end the night with the last race of the evening, the 400 yard free relay and the wildcats take this one pretty easily. Laura Wu, the anchor finishes in first with Sophia Hayes of Central finishing in second and that’s how the meet would go as well. Neuqua Valley takes the home victory 126-60.
