Naperville North, coming off a big win over Metea Valley, travel to face off against DeKalb for the first time as conference opponents. The Barbs sit 4-2 and look to clinch their first playoff as DVC members.

First Quarter

Nothing on the scoreboard in the first that is until Naperville North strikes first. Anthony Gabrione drops an 18 yard touchdown pass on 4th down to damian Welch. Huskies lead 7-0.

Doesn’t take long for the barbs to respond though. Just twenty seconds after the huskies score, DeKalb finds pay dirt as Jalon Redmond goes 20 yards and finds paydirt to even up the score.

Three minutes later, and the barbs are at it again. Trenton Kyler heaving up a beautiful 40 yard pass to Alex Siebens, his ankles get caught but that sets up a TD run for Trenton McCollum, Barbs up 14-7.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter now, Huskies looking to get out of trouble, Gabriones pass is picked off by Luke Schmerbach and he returns it for a touchdown to extend the barbs lead 21-7.

About five minutes left until intermission North trailing 28-7, Gabrione connects with Zeke Williams to cut into the barbs lead going into the break, 28-13.

Second Half

But the second half of the game is where the barbs really show off their skills. Trenton McCollum gets another touchdown pass from Kyler off the screen pass for 35 yards, putting the game on ice as the barbs move to 5-2 on the year.
