We hit the diamond at Naperville Central for a crosstown classic. Naperville Central come in to the game looking for their 4th win of the season while Naperville North is looking for their fifth.
First Inning
Nothing on the board but the bases are loaded in the bottom of the first. Dom Gabrielli steps up to the plate and ropes one to left for the sac fly. Redhawks get on the board 1-0.
Second Inning
Nothing of note until the bottom of the second with a man on second. Jack Busch slaps a single to left and the Redhawks go up 2-0.
Third Inning
Top of the third now and North looking to get on the board. Mike Bruebach slices one to left and it rolls to the wall. One run in and two sitting at 2 and 3.
Next batter up is Cliff Vickers and he drives them both home and gives the huskies the lead, 3-2 now.
Still the top of the third, North isn’t done. Tim Dalton drives in Vickers to put North up 4-2. They go on to score 6 runs in the inning.
Fourth Inning
Top of the fourth now and North looks to blow this game open. Jacob Sharm helps hem do just that, North goes up 10-2 are two runs cross the plate.
Fifth Inning
Bottom of the fifth and Ethan Kaiman looks to close it out. Kaiman goes all five innings and only gives up two runs as the Huskies take the big win 12-2.
