We get a cross town classic on the courts as Naperville North travels to Naperville Central. The Huskies coming off a loss to Benet Academy while Central is dealing with some injuries on their team. The match got a little bit of a later start due to come inclement weather earlier in the day.
#1 Singles
Starting off with one singles, Redhawk Jacqueline Qi making a nice scoop shot for the point for the lead early.
Longer later little later on, Ava Heshelman makes a good save only to have Qi get the attack in the other corner for another point.
Qi makes Heshelman freeze in the second set as she brings the heat and sweeps the Huskie in two sets, 6-0, 6-0.
#1 Doubles
Now over to one doubles, with North’s Tiffany and Irene Zhang start off with an ace over Alex Dram and Katie Liu.
But Naperville Central stays alive and Katie Liu hits a strong return of her own for the Redhawk point.
Jumping in to a longer rally that produces some back corner shots for both teams until the Huskies force an error off the Redhawks as the huskies win the in two sets. Which helps Naperville North take the match, 5-2, sweeping all double matches.
