Neuqua Valley is riding high after a comeback win against Benet. Now the Wildcats look for revenge against Naperville North who took the previous meeting in thrilling fashion 7-6.

First Quarter

The Huskies come out on fire in the opening minutes. Grant Pass goes right by the Neuqua defense, but Mikey Gunderson makes the huge stick save. He stops 14 shots on the night

Midway through the 1st, the Wildcats get their offense going. Mark Trelo drives and hits Dan Curtis knocking on the doorstep for the opening goal

A couple minutes later Andrew Arimborgo fakes the drive and passes to Ben Foy right in front of the net for the goal. Just the start of a big night for number 1

Foy goes back at it shortly after as he receives the present from Caiden Perry and smokes it past Jake Allgood. Wildcats lead 4-0 at the end of the 1st

Second Quarter

Neuqua came out hungry for revenge in this one. They go around the horn here and Caiden Perry undresses Allgood for his 2nd goal of the game and it’s 6-0 cats

The Huskies find a glimmer of life right after that. Colin Kaiser finds Mikey Ancona to end the shutout. Wildcats are still up by 5

6 and a half to play in the 2nd quarter. Matt Quinn fakes the shot and hits Ben Foy. He undresses a defender and buries it past Jake Allgood. Foy finishes with 6 goals on 6 shots in this one

Not much going right for North in this one, but they end the half on the right note. Gunderson gets screened by a defender and Ancona bounces the shot into the net. Neuqua leads 9-2 at the break

Third Quarter

Eddie McDonald wins the opening faceoff of the 2nd half and takes it himself. With the open lane he sprints and scores to give Neuqua a 10-2 lead

Caiden Perry has been on fire the past few games and he stays hot in this one dodging by a few defenders and smoking the shot past Jake Allgood for his 4th goal of the game. 11-4 Neuqua heading to the 4th

Fourth Quarter

Wildcats don’t let up in the 4th. Dan Curtis finds a cutting Mark Trelo and he gets in on the fun

Lets give the goalies some love. Mikey Gunderson stopped a tenacious Huskie attack and now he picks up an assist, launching the rock down field to Caiden Perry. He goes top shelf for his 6th goal of the game and the Wildcats are rolling now having scored 14 plus goals in 5 straight games
