Naperville North is in the Lacrosse Sectional Semi finals and they are coming off a high scoring 16-10 win over Wheaton North in the Glenbard West Sectional. They now take on the 3 seed York. The Dukes handed the Huskies one of their 2 losses in a 6-5 game back in April.

First Quarter

Scoreless 4 minutes into the game. Matthew Maschmeier hits a cutting Jack Young and he fires home the game’s opening goal.

Grant Pass fakes the drive and finds Joey Sacco. He zips a missile into the back of the net and the Huskies lead 2-0 heading to the 2nd quarter.

Second Quarter

A minute 30 until halftime. Matthew Maschmeier has made his presence known with his antics in the postgame interviews this season. However, he also is one of the best passers on the Huskies. He shows off his great field vision to find a cutting Gavin Merriman right in front of the net for the goal. Huskies lead 5-0 at halftime.

Third Quarter

The Huskies don’t let up in the 2nd half. Mikey Ancona passes to an open Colin Kaiser. Nobody steps up on him and he fires a seeing eye rocket past Joey Cornell to put the Huskies up by 6.

Midway through the 3rd Grant Pass blows past the Dukes defense and scores. The Huskies exact their revenge and up next for Naperville North is the Sectional Title Game against Glenbard West in a rematch of last year’s 3rd place game at state.
