Naperville North’s Bhaavya Manikonda went down to Badminton State and dominated, putting her name in the state and school’s record book, qualifying her for this week’s play of the week, presented by Aurelio’s of Naperville.
The Play
Girls play of the week and we go back to Eastern Illinois with Huskie sophomore Bhaavya Manikonda. The Naperville North Badminton star decided she wants her name in the school record book and does it in dominating fashion. Manikonda makes all the right moves in the singles championship match to defeat her opponent in two sets. Bhaavya Manikonda becomes the 2nd singles champion in school history and the first since 2012 which obviously qualifies her for this week’s play of the week.
