Nazareth coming off a one-goal win and now has to face the offensive juggernaut that is Benet Academy – who is outscoring opponents 23-0 entering the sectional semi-finals.

First Half

After a few close misses in the first twenty minutes, we zoom ahead to midway through the first half. Mia Tommasone setting the table for Jaimee Cibulka, and she’ll do the rest. Zips it past the Roadrunners’ goalie and it’s 1-nil Benet.

Shade over a minute later and the Redwings back at it. Cibulka tracks it down in the corner before dishing to Kate Flynn. Flynn then centers it to Sarah Bozych… and the shot JUST gets past the outstretched arms of Nazareth’s Sarah Blair. 2-0 Benet with 23 minutes to go in the first half.

Free kick now for Kate Flynn from just outside the box… she puts it on goal and it bounces away from Blair and right onto the waiting foot of Nicole Burns. Benet soaring, up 3-0 with 14:31 to go in the first half.

Few moments later and Benet back on the prowl as Katie Lewellyan shakes loose and unleashes a shot, but Blair slides left and cuts it off.

Second Half

To the second half and how about a deep shot from Tommasone?! She rifles it in from WAYYY outside the box and give her team a 4-0 advantage with 34:50 to go in the game.

After a very quiet first half offensively, Nazareth getting a look here. Nicole Schaff defers backwards to Sophia Cullotta… but her shot snagged by Evangeline Frantzen to keep the Roadrunners scoreless.

With under 5 to play in the game, Benet’s Abby Casmere puts the finishing touches on a 6-0 win with here first goal of the day. Redwings now own a 29-0 scoring differential through three games as they move to the Sectional Finals!
