We get a non-conference match up on the pitch as Neuqua Valley travels to face off against the Redwings. Benet sits 6-1 on the year while the wildcats sit 2-4-1.
First Half
5th minute and we all ready have some action. Benet’s Nick Augustyn feeds the ball through to Trent McVey who puts the ball up and past keeper Adam Lansdown for the first goal of the game, 1-0 wings.
Still in the first half, Augustyn looking to double Benet’s lead with the freekick but Lansdown snatches it out of the air.
Augusytn again with a free kick later in the first half, Brendan Forsyth tries to knock it in and does but is then called offside. The Redwings still lead 1-nil.
Benet’s Han Haenicke going one on one against Lansdown as time winds down in the first half but Neuqua’s defense stops the attack.
Second Half
Into the second half, Wildcats with the free kick and it’s lifted in to the box but he puts it over the bar. Cats still trailing.
Benet on the attack again in the second half but Neuqua’s Luke Molnar stops the shot and then lands on the ball to keep the cats in the game.
Little later, BA with a free kick and Nick Renfro sends the ball into the net but it’s called a no goal due to goalie interference. Game still at 1-0 Redwings.
Last effort from Benet as Trent McVey goes in on the attack but Luke Molnar makes another good save. The wings would take the non-con game over Neuqua Valley, 1-0.
