No it’s not déjà vu, Neuqua Valley is back at Metea Valley after meeting up on this field just two weeks ago. The Wildcats clinched the DVC championship a week ago and look to keep improving their playoff seeding.

First Half

First offensive play of the game for Neuqua Valley and yeah, I’d say the Wildcats look playoff ready. Mark Gronowski to Patrick Hoffman for the 63 yard touchdown and a 7-0 lead.

Into the 2nd quarter, Armani Moreno plunges into the end zone from two yards out. 14 touchdowns on the season for the junior back.

Under five minutes to play in the first half, Gronowski drops another dime into the arms of Patrick Hoffman, NV goes up 21-0. Great throw and catch. Only three grabs for Hoffman in the game, but he racks up 103 yards through the air.

Final minute before halftime, Gronowski finishes a very efficient day with his third TD pass, this one from 26 yards out to Carter Sessa. 28-0 Wildcats at halftime. 7-8 for 178 yards for Gronowski.

Second Half

Speaking of Déjà vu, here’s another touchdown for CJ Wilcox, the Mustang senior with his usual outstanding effort, taking this one up the middle from 17 yards out. 17 TD’s on the season for Wilcox after he adds a TD catch later in the third quarter.

Late in the third, backup QB Colin Blazek gets in on the fun for Neuqua, connecting with John Feddor for a 35 yard touchdown. NV up 35-7 after three.

Final minutes of the game, Mustang tight end Austin Frederick lines up in the wildcat, his quarterback brother Logan gets in there and blocks for him. A nice moment as Frederick ends his Metea career with a touchdown and you can see how excited his brother and the rest of his teammates are for him.

Neuqua Valley sings the school song in triumph for the 8th time this season as the playoffs await. Metea Valley wraps up the year 1-8 for the third consecutive season.
