First conference game of the year for Neuqua Valley as the Wildcats travel to Naperville Central. The Redhawks look to even up their DVC record, coming into the match at 1 and 2.

First Half

Opening minute and Neuqua goes on the offensive, Erin McCarthy sends the ball to Katelyn Nardulli, but Central keeper Amber Hunter is there to keep the ball out of the net.

Just under three minutes in to the game, Megan Olah taps the ball ahead to Piper Biziorek who sprints along the outside before centering to forward Erin McCarthy for the tap in. Wildcats quickly jump out to a 1-0 lead.

Redhawks look to tie it up later in the half on a free kick from freshman Sophia Skoubis, the shot is just about perfect but Tara Tesmond does a nice job tracking the ball and getting the save to keep NV in front.

Later in the first half, Nardulli gets it to Alison Dovalovsky who fires a line drive on net, but Hunter is there to keep it a one goal game at halftime.

Second Half

A good chance to add on for NV early in the 2nd, Erin McCarthy from point blank lifts a shot just over the bar, still a 1-0 game.

Under 10 to play, Shannon Tagler with a lead pass to Piper Biziorek who shoots towards the corner, but Amber Hunter is there with the diving stop to keep Central’s hopes alive.

Time running out for the Redhawks but they get a good chance as Abby Hillman taps a pass to Caroline Reedy who slips behind the defense, but her chip shot to get the ball above a charging Tara Tesmond sails too high and out of play. Neuqua Valley hangs on for an 1-0 win.
