We hit the ice at All seasons for some hockey action with Neuqua Valley, who sit 11-6 on the year, face off against Naperville Central who are right at 500 with 7 wins and 7 losses.

Second Period

No action in the first period, so we move to the second. Redhawks on the attack and Michael Szczensniak goes across the ice and and then with the flick of the wrist finds the back of the net from some distance. Central up 1-0.

Central looking to double their lead, still in the first quarter, the pass it around the horne until Dylan Westphal takes a shot, it’s no good but Patrick Burke is there to clean it up for central to extend their lead 2-0.

Second period winding down but that doesn’t mean Neuqua is taking a break. Quin Farnus gets the quick goal to go to cut in to the redhawks lead going to the final period.

Third Period

Final stanza and neuqua trying to even the game up. Wildcats on the attack, they fire but netminder Cam Moore keeps the door shut with the save. Central still in the lead 2-1.

Central with another chance with 11 minutes left in the period. Shane Johnson is in the right place at the right time to tap the puck across the line. Redhawks extend their lead 3-1.

But Neuqua, not going away. The first attempt is no good, but they reset, get the puck out to Logan Breen. He shoots, and it takes a second but he realizes he gets the goal, wildcats trailing again by just 1.

Three minutes left in the game and Neuqua on the offensive once more. They make it a game as Marco Rovito shoots through some defenders to even up this game at 3s.

Things getting quick as time is winding down. Central looks to end up but Carter Crokin with the big glove save stops the attempt.

Just second left on the clock… one final attempt to stop this game from going to overtime. Dylan Westphal comes skating through defenders, time not on his side. He losses the puck, but it finds Cameron Andrees who lets one loose to get the game winning goal. Naperville Central takes the victory 4-3 over Neuqua Valley.
