Another DVC match up at Naperville North as Neuqua Valley looks to avenge their 1-0 loss from earlier in the season to the huskies. North, with their conference title in tow, looks for a final tune up before sectionals begin.
First Half
Scoreboard empty in the first half, North fires a shot but Wildcat net minder Luke Molnar punches the ball out to keep the zeros.
North on the offensive again, still in the first half, Patrick Koenig wrangles the bouncing ball, turns and fires. It soars to the back of the goal and North now leads 1-0.
Still in the first half and the huskies look to double their lead. The free kick soars near the post and then another huskie puts his head on it but Molnar stops the shot.
Second Half
In to the second half, north still up 1-nil. Cesar Recendez looks to change that as he gets his foot on the ball but it goes just wide.
Neuqua’s turn with the free kick but the attempt turns right to Jason Barba who grabs hold to keep north in the lead.
Neuqua’s last attempt with less than a minute in the game, but the penalty kick goes right to barba to keep his sheet clean and North takes the W 1-0 over Neuqua Valley.
