Naperville North trying to fit in a game between all this rain as they host the neuqua valley girls lacrosse team.
First Half
And right from the get go the wildcats are off and running. Lauren Reitzel cuts towards the net and rockets on past the north goal to open up scoring.
Four minutes into the game, off the restart, North’s Mary Tuskey bounces it past the wildcat goalie to get the huskies on the board, trailing by one.
13 minutes left in the first quarter, Neuqua’s Brenda Anderson streaking down the field, she goals all the way to the goal to push neuqua’s lead up 6-2.
North trying to hang on with just over 2 minutes to play until the break. Audrey Johnson comes from behind the net and hits twine. Huskies trailing by 2.
Second Half
Into the second half and North coming out with a vegenace. Isabella Taylor scores off an assist from Bella Coputa to knot the game up at 8s.
But Neuqua is stilling hanging on… a minute later, Christine Corbin lobs one over to Courtney Costello who has the quick release to put Neuqua in the lead 10-8.
But despites North’s best efforts, Neuqua was on top of their game today and Caroline Perkins notches another wildcat goal as they go on to win 16-9.
