Teeing off at Wedgewood Golf Course at the Plainfield Central Boys Golf Regional is Naperville North, Naperville Central, and Neuqua Valley. All three schools hope to place in the top three out of the 9 schools to continue on to Sectionals as a team.

8th Hole

We pick things up on the 8th hole with Neuqua’s Alec Cross. His tee shot lands him just off the green but he would be able to two putt for par.

Central’s Andrew Lim’s turn in the box and his tee shot even closer. He would be able to birdie putt from there which helped him finish with an 85 on the day.

Teammate Harvey Wang just has to tap in this par putt on the 8th green to help him finish the front nine with a 49. He would pick it up in the back 9 finishing with a total of 88 on the day.

10th Hole

Another redhawk putting on the tenth hole. Jack Busch using some power in hopes of grabbing the bird but he would be just short. Landing just inches from the cup, but he would finish with par.

15th Hole

Over to the 15th hole now. Neuqua’s 6th golfer Mason Dentzman had himself a day. He grabs par on the 15th hole after the long first putt but that would help him finish with the best score for the cats, a 77.

Naperville North’s Logan Hoag with the nice drive on to the 15th green. He would finish with an 82 and qualify for sectionals as an individual.

Teammate Luke Mallard also qualifies for sectionals as an individual and thanks in large part to chips like this. Out of the sand gets him close enough to grab par and finish with a 90 on the day.

Naperville Central’s Brian Izzo would be tops of the Redhawks. He just misses the long birdie putt on the 15th green but would land par and a 76, landing him in 2nd place on the day.

Neuqua looking to grab one place better than they did in the DVC tournament and shots like this certainly help. Gus Herzberg with the brilliant chip out of the sand helps him finish with an 83 on the day.

Top individual would come from Plainfield North. Todd Daughtery finishes off his round with a 72, just one over par, helping Plainfield Central take second in the tournament.

18th Hole

Finishing up on the 18th hole, North’s Will Bruce with the nice approach shot from the ruff. He would also qualify as an individual with an 89.

Teammate Park Mullen with the best score for the huskies, chipping on the 18th hole. He lands himself an 81 and is the final huskie advancing to sectionals.

Naperville Central finishes in 3rd as a team, with Izzo placing second and Neuqua Valley would take the top spot, actually tying with Plainfield North. The tie breaker goes to the fifth golfer and the Wildcats had the better score, advancing them as a team as well.
