Girls Basketball continues at the Bolingbrook regional with Naperville North, the undefeated DVC champions, seeded 6th, facing off against Plainfield Central who hold the 11 seed.
Plainfield Central has the lead in the second quarter and they push it up by two points as Stacey Evans hits the layup. 14-8 wildcats.
North fighting back though, sophomore Greta Kampschroeder gets the three to fall. 24 points on the night for the Huskie as they trail by 4.
Seconds ticking down until the break. Freshman Sarah Crossett drives hard and gets the finish. Plainfield Central leads at the half 21-15.
North utilizing some passing at the beginning of the third. Kara Rivard drains the three to cut the wildcats lead to 3.
Later in the quarter and Rivard is at it again… splashing another big three, north down just 2.
Final stanza action, Plainfields Kashay Donald pulls from deep and hits.. helping her to 20 points on the night as the wildcats extend their lead, 35-29.
North still fighting, specifically the freshman, Crosset with another strong drive and finish, huskies trailing 13.
The wildcats would continue extending their lead through the fourth with threes like this one to end the huskies girls basketball season, 51-41.
