We head over to Benedictine Unversity as the Redwings host the 2-0 Saint Ignatius Wolf Pack. Benet is also 2-0 and hopes to open up their new conference schedule with a win.

First Quarter

Little over 6 minutes left in the first and the Wolf Pack getting to work. Leo Rugai tossing up a 40 yard pass to Matt Preston who catches it in stride for the big gain.

Saint Ignatius, with under 6 minutes to play now, reaches pay dirt thanks to Ej Talarico who gets the ball and crosses the line. 6-0 Wolf Pack.

Not even a minute later, Benet marching down the field, knocking on the door. Colin Gillespie decides to keep it himself and goes untouched in to the end zone for Benet to take the lead after the PAT.

Second Quarter

No one would be able to tell that Gillespie suffered a broken nose last game by the way he is playing tonight. Opening few minutes of the 2nd quarter and Gillespie again, runs the ball… he wouldn’t reach the end zone but would make the major gain.

You know who does reach the end zone though, Sean Toress just a few seconds later. He fights his way in, pushing the Redwing score up 14-6.

7 minutes left until the break, Benet’s defense showing up, Jacob Snell coming out of no where and making the dive sack to keep the Wolf Pack at bay.

The wings continue connecting just before halftime. Gillespie dropping back and then throwing right up the middle to Luca Hall. He lands one yard away from the end zone only to have Gillespie, of course, run it in. 21-6 going into the break.

Third Quarter

Into the third and for the rest of the game, Benet continues clicking on all cylanders and even switching it up as Michael O’Connor drops back and throws one over the middle to Gillespie for the touchdown. Benet continues their win streak, defeating St. Ignatius 35-6.
