Neuqua Valley is back in the Sectional Final with Geneva serving as the host site. This game features a pair of high powered offenses with Neuqua Valley turning to the dynamic duo of Ben Foy and Caiden Perry while South Elgin has an offensive juggernaut and 100 point scorer in Cade Newton who could pose trouble for the NV defense.

First Quarter

It would be a big game in the faceoff circle for Eddie McDonald as he wins the opening draw. The Wildcats slow the offense down for a bit. Ben Schink passes inside to Caiden Perry. He splits a pair of defenders and fires in the games 1st goal.

A few minutes later Adam Arimborgo passes to Perry. He shakes off a defender and zips it past Jake Stolpa to put NV up 2-0.

Under 5 to play in the 1st quarter. Ben Foy gets a nice pick from Caiden Perry and then he bounces the shot past Stolpa. The Wildcats are rolling.

South Elgin looks to get something going offensively, but the Wildcats defense has other ideas. Cade Newton tries to make something happen, but thanks to some incredibly stingy defense from Holden Charboneau, he can’t get a shot off and then turns the ball over.

Final seconds of the 1st. Ben Foy drives and kicks it out to Caiden Perry who sends a missile into the back of the net. Wildcats lead 4-0 heading to the 2nd.

Second Quarter

Wildcats don’t let up in the 2nd quarter. Ben Schink drives and flings it to Dan Curtis right in front of the net. That’s just the start of a big game for him.

Now we head back to Caiden Perry doing Caiden Perry things. He plays aggressive on the defense then drops it off for Ben Schink and he snaps it 5 hole on Jake Stolpa to make it a 7-1 Neuqua lead.

Dan Curtis is back at it shortly after. He undresses a trio of defenders and bounces the shot into the back of the net. Wildcats lead 8-2 at halftime.

Third Quarter

Wildcats up by 8 midway through the 3rd. Adam Arimborgo hits Matt Quinn and he smokes it into the back of the net. No chance for Jake Stolpa and that pushes the Neuqua lead to 11-2.

Neuqua is just pouring it on now. Sam Schink drives and flips it to Curtis who goes with the behind the back no look goal.

Fourth Quarter

11 goal game in the 4th. Sam Schink with the dish to Matt Quinn for his 2nd goal. Quinn says that’s a wrap and he’s right. Neuqua Valley brings home a win in the Sectional Final for the 2nd straight season and move on to face Barrington in the Super Sectional.
