The Warrior Hockey Club, the defending carillon cup champs hit the ice with a 10-2 record facing off against DVC rival Naperville Central who sit 6-5.
First Period
In the first period, the warriors starting off strong and quick on an odd man rush. Zach Pearce puts the puck away with 16 minutes left in the first period. Warriors lead 1-0 early.
Just three minutes later and almost the exact same play happens and this time Pearce finds Tony Compise open at the back who extends the warriors lead 2-0 with 13 minutes left to play in the first.
Warriors in control almost the entire first period. From behind the net, the pass finds a waiting Tony Campise who scores his second goal of the period. Warriors lead 3-0 at the end of the first.
Second Period
Power play in the second period for the warriors. CJ Cirko is open in the lower circle who snipes a shot glove side on Moore for the Warriors to extend their lead 4-0.
And they just are not slowing down. 11 minutes to play in the second period and the puck finds its way to the back post where Tony Campise is waiting to score his hat trick, hitting glove side. Warriors now lead 5-0.
Not even a minute later and the warriors just cannot be stopped. Pearce slots in CJ Cirko who stick handles around Moore to score his second of the game. The Warrior Hockey Club takes the clean victory 6-0 and move on to face Neuqua Valley in the finals of the Carillon Cup.
