We’re at the Waubonsie Valley pool for a DVC showdown between the Warriors and the Wildcats from Neuqua Valley, as well as Dekalb. Warriors just recently taking a trip to Neuqua for the Wildcat invite, while Neuqua is coming off a State title in 2018.

Second event of the night is the 200 yard medley relay. Waubonsie’s Kylie Mears starting the race with the back stroke… meanwhile Grace Bergman closes the relay out. Warriors tap in with a time of 1:52.91… topping the team from Neuqua by a second.

On to the 200 yard IM… Tiffanie Ruan grabs the lead by a full two seconds after one lap and never gives it up – touching the pad in 2 minutes and 11 seconds for Neuqua Valley.

Up next, the 50 free… and it’s a short race… but there’s a big lead for Hylie Mears… who wins by a second and a half – 25.35 her time.

We see the butterfly for the first time in our highlight for the 100 yard race. And holy smokes, Maxine Parkinson cruises into the finish with a time of 58.49, a 4 second win for the Wildcats.

We’ve gotten the 50 free, now time for the 100 free… Kylie Mears from Waubonsie and Elaine Carroll from Neuqua are battling down the stretch, but Mears taps in first – 54.78 mark.

To the 200 yard free relay! Waubonsie in lane 5, Neuqua in lane 4… and it’s Waubonsie’s relay team, anchored by Lauren Lee, that takes the win and is fired up.

Getting close to the end of the meet – now the 100 breast stroke… and the winner? Izzy Baptista from NEuqua with a time of 1:12:41

Final race and the Wildcats and Warriors are neck and neck in the point standings, we finish with the 400 free relay. And Neuqua Valley’s Maddie Sell hits the wall first. Wildcats win the meet, totally 204 points.
