Waubonsie Valley traveling up to Libertyville for their second non-conference game of the year… it’s the first game for running back Bryce Logan who returns from ACL surgery.

First Half

It’ll be Libertyville who strikes first with nine and a half minutes left in the first. Blake Ellingson makes a big 65 yard touchdown pass to Sean Wittenbrink who avoids the tackle and goes down the sideline and then moves behind the wall… securing the first touchdown 6-0.

Five minutes left in the first, Waubonsie Bryce Logan shakes off the dust and makes a 9 yard run.

Same drive and Waubonsie will find pay dirt. Antonia Torres gets a 7 yard run to put WV up 7-6 after the extra point.

Opening few minutes of the second quarter and Waubonsie at it again, this time it’s through the air. Ethan Nelson tosses up a 33 yard pass to Sean Clinton who finishes it off in the end zone, 14-6 warriors.

Ten minutes until the break, and the warrior defense came to play too. Jordan Young moves right through the line and finds Blake Ellingson for the sack and stopping the drive.

Time winding down in the second quarter but that isn’t deterring Waubonsie Valley. Antonia Torres plowing his way through 9 yards for the touchdown run putting the warriors up 20-6 at the break.

Second Half

Halfway through the third quarter and Waubonsie not slowing down. Ethan Nelson makes another quick pass, this time to Demari Wilson for the touchdown, keeping track? It’s 27-6.

Five minutes left in the third and Libertyville not giving up just yet. Ellingson decides to keep it himself as he sees pay dirt, cutting waubonsie lead, 27-13.

In to the fourth and Ethan Nelson’s arm isn’t tired yet. Nelson makes a short pass to Antonia Torres who turns and runs it in for the rest pushing Waubonsie Valley into their second win of the season, 40-20.
