The girls swimming teams are starting to gear up for sectionals as Waubonsie Valley travels to Metea Valley. The mustangs celebrate their graduating seniors before the meet begins.

100 Butterfly

First race off the block is the 100 fly. It’s anybodys race in the beginning but in the end, Waubonsie Valley’s Kylie Mears was able to pull away in first for the warriors in 59.2 seconds

100 Backstroke

We start in the water for this next race. It’s the 100 yard backstroke. For the first 25 yards its an extremely tight race but in the end, Halle Reifsnyder of Metea taps the wall first in 1 minute, 3 point 69 seconds.

400 Freestyle Relay

It’s time for the longest relay on the dockty, the 400 freestyle. And check out this start that Metea gets off too. Kellie Willwhite is the firsts swimmer and she grabs the lead. As Laurel Bludgen hits the wall for the anchor Aimee Patterson, the mustangs all ready have the win in the bag. The take the race by 13 seconds with a time of 3 minutes 46 seconds.

100 Freestyle

But in the end, it is the warriors who take home the win. Lauren Lee of Waubonsie Valley swims a strong 100 freestyle to seal the win for the warriors, 91-86.
