Waubonsie Valley travels over to Naperville North to open up their conference schedule, sitting 1-2-1 on the year. The huskies come off their fifth consecutive best of the west championship win over Naperville Central.

First Half

In the first half North goalie Ali Khorfan makes a great save on defense and then Ty Konrad would get North on the board but the bees in the bleachers decided to attack our cameraman at the time Konrad notched his first goal.

Second Half

Jumping to the second half, after battling with the bees, Jason Barba makes a great punching save off the header to keep the huskies in the lead. With 25 minutes left to play.

The WV Warriors again on the offensive push two minutes later, Jerry Perez attempts a header but is fouled by Evan Thompson, setting up a penalty kick.

Warrior Daniel Fritz gets the nod and he slides one right in to the left side of the goal to tie the game up at 1 a piece.

19 minutes left in the game and the huskies do not want to over to over time. Waubonsie’s goalie Bryan Grimaldo comes out of the box, leaving it open. Ty Konrad, in the right place and the right time redirects the ball in to the back of the net for the huskies to retake the lead.

8 and a half minutes left on the clock and Konrad is in search of a hat trick. He pushes down field and then lets one fly… right in to the arms of Bryan Grimaldo for the stop.

But North would get that third goal. Off the corner kick, Cesar Recendez gets the header to go as Naperville North takes their first DVC victory 3-1 over Waubonsie Valley.
