Playoff hockey on Super Bowl Sunday. Round Robin play for the Illinois West Cup has begun with Waubonsie Valley taking on Wheaton West. Zach Pearce returns after an injury scare the previous week against Neuqua Valley and he’s ready to go hunting for the back of the net. The Warriors won their 1st round robin game against Hinsdale Central, while Wheaton West lost to Glenbard. It was recently announced the Warriors will be the top seed in the Combined division of the Blackhawk Cup for the first time in program history. The Warriors made it to the Blackhawk Cup championship at the United Center last season and look to make a return trip in 2019.
