About the Conservation Foundation
Since its founding in 1972 and through the support of more than 5,000 members, The Conservation Foundation improves the health of communities by preserving and restoring open spaces and natural lands, protecting rivers and watersheds, and promoting stewardship of our environment in Northeastern Illinois. Since its inception, TCF preserved more than 35,000 acres of land, educated more than 20,000 children with hands-on learning through environmental education, distributed more than 13,000 rain barrels and removed more than 275 tons of trash from more than 100 miles of local streams.
