Just a few meets in to the gymnastics season and we hit the mats at Naperville North. The Waubonsie Metea Co-Op are looking for a big road win while the Huskies open up DVC action at home.
The Meet
We start on the bars with North’s Ellie Lieberman as she transitions up to the high bar, she goes around, gaining some power before letting herself fly and sticking the landing for a 7.85 score, helping her to a 30.65 all around score.
The Co-Ops Thalia Bowen’s turn on bars. She is gearing up for the dismount, let’s go of the bar for one full rotation before hitting the mat for a score of 8.3.
We follow Thalia as she moves over to the vault. Going full speed down the run way, off the block for the lay out and the landing for a 9.20 score, best vault of the day.
Stay on the vault with huskie Evie Glaze. She lands the full twist off the apparatus for an 8.3 score, best vault score for Naperville North.
We crank up the music on floor no, back with the co-op and Destiny Carver. She pulls off the round-off back handspring lay out which helps her grab an 8.9 score. The top score for the apparatus.
We finish the floor off with Huskie Gwen Swalwell. Her front pass of a front walk over, round off back tuck. She finishes with a 7.76 score as the music ends. The Co-Op would be the top team on the day though, with 128.7 points over the huskies.
