On August 3, 2026, chamber musicians with OPUS performed their annual “Salute, Honor, and Love” concert at the Wentz Concert Hall on the Campus of North Central College.
The concert celebrates the conclusion of a week-long music camp held by the organization. OPUS, which stands for Orchestra Parents/Patrons’ United Support, has a mission to stimulate and sustain students’ interest in chamber and orchestral music. The camp, celebrating its 24th year, is a signature event in that mission.
Chamber music ensembles
The performance featured several small ensembles with various instruments that performed classical chamber music. The event also featured two original compositions and one short film. Each ensemble created a name for their group.
