As the chilly air is vanishing and spring flowers are beginning to bloom, the Naperville Park District encourages the community to join them in appreciating the outdoors with friends and family.
Compete Against Friends and Neighbors
Looking for some friendly competition? Whether you’re joining one of our adult softball leagues to compete alongside friends in a fun, social environment, or prefer an individual sport like tennis, there’s something for every interest and skill level. Our adult programs welcome both new and seasoned players alike. No matter the sport, our teams and programs are a great way to energize your week and enjoy a fun, recreational experience.
Celebrate Our Planet
While the Park District celebrates the environment year-round, it also honors Earth Day throughout April as part of Earth Month. From April 6 through the end of the month, families are invited to Knoch Knolls Nature Center to explore hands-on exhibits and interactive displays highlighting conservation success stories. Afterward, take time to enjoy the scenic trails at Knoch Knolls Park and experience the beauty of nature up close.
Shred Your Old Papers
Declutter your office space and dispose of old documents at our annual Shredding Event on Saturday, April 11 at Centennial Beach. Co-sponsored by the Naperville Park District and Naperville Police Department, attendees can bring up to two large boxes or paper bags full of paper to be shredded and properly recycled. Get a jump on spring cleaning while helping our environment.
Express Your Gardening Passions
If you have a green thumb but limited space at home, consider reserving a plot at the Ron Ory Community Garden Plots. Gardeners can grow their own vegetables and flowers while connecting with fellow enthusiasts in a welcoming, community setting. Registration is now open, so secure your spot for the 2026 season today.
Developing Youth Golfers
Junior golfers can tee off the 2026 golf season at Golfapalooza on Saturday, April 25 at Naperbrook Golf Course. Participants can participate in instructional clinics from PGA golf professionals, learning key skills such as full swing, chipping and putting. This is a great event for youth golfers who are new to the sport or looking to refine their skills in a fun and instructional setting. Registration for the event begins Saturday, April 18.
