Commander Jason Arres, a long-time officer with the Department, has been named as the Deputy Chief of Investigations Divisions.
This after former Deputy Chief Brian Cunningham became the Chief of the Woodridge Police Department.
Arres most recently served as Commander with the Naperville Police Department’s Office of Professional Standards and Public Information Officer.
“It’s great whenever you start a new opportunity. I’m excited, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous, as with any new job you enter you want to succeed and do well. But what’s great is there’s such a great support system here, and there’s such great men and women working here and the people make it so great,” said Arres.
In his new role Arres will oversee the investigations, major crimes, and community relations divisions.
His role became effective January 4.
