District 203 could add election days to their days off of school.
At the school board’s latest meeting, the group considered the option for the 2020-2021 calendar and the 2021-2022 calendar.
Affect on School Days
With the policy in place, that would mean three days off for next school year due to elections, with one for the following year.
Many were in support of taking classes off for election days, but had some concerns with their effect on the first day of school.
Decision Next meeting
The board is expected to vote on the calendars at its next meeting on November 18.
