Next time you’re at a restaurant in Naperville, you might have the opportunity to give back while dining out.
Dollar Up, Hunger Down is a new initiative with participating Naperville restaurants where after patrons dine, they are invited to contribute a dollar towards Loaves & Fishes.
“Loaves & Fishes can take a single dollar and through our cooperative buying power, turn it into eight dollars of healthy food,” said Loaves & Fishes Vice President of Advancement Nancy Wiersum. “It may seem like not much, a single dollar, but we can multiply that exponentially and it results in hundreds and hundreds of pounds of healthy food for our clients.”
Participating restaurants include Quigley’s, Catch 35, Sullivan’s, and many more. The full list is available on loaves-fishes.org.
Dollar Up, Hunger Down starts on September 1 and runs through the end of the month.
Loaves & Fishes supplied more than four million pounds of food to people in DuPage County last year.
