The Christkindlmarket will officially be returning to Naperville.
The organizers of the market, German American Events, have signed a contract with Naper Settlement for three more years of the holiday fair.
Last year’s inaugural run had 33 vendors and brought around 208,000 people to Naper Settlement over the 21-day event, three quarters of which came from outside of Naperville.
Organizers expect even more booths and vendors at this year’s market, which will once again open the day after Thanksgiving and run until Christmas Eve.
City Council awarded the market over $45,000 from the Special Events and Cultural Amenities fund to help cover the cost of additional police officers.
