Injured Amtrak Conductor Heads Home

The Amtrak conductor who was shot at the Downtown Naperville Metra station has been discharged from Edward Hospital.

45-year old Michael Case was shot in the abdomen while standing on a platform outside of the train on May 16.

Recently Case’s wife shared on Facebook that he was released from the hospital and headed home where he will continue his medical care and therapy.

Edward Klein, the 79-year-old Wisconsin man charged in the shooting will appear in court on July 31.

Case underwent several surgeries during his nine-week stay at Edward Hospital, with another expected in the future.
