Loaves & Fishes have made their food market mobile.

Twice a month volunteers bring the Naperville pantry to seniors at Marian Park Apartments in Wheaton.

“These people are homebound for the most part they physically can’t get to our building in Naperville and need food and we’re able to supplement their food,” explained volunteer Lead Bob Holubka.

The nonprofit’s first-ever mobile market supplies roughly 30 clients at a time with basic groceries.

“Just like our normal market in Naperville we have tables and put different produces, vegetables, fruits, cereals, eggs, milk, meat,” said Holubka. “And it’s set up in a table fashion where people have a choice.”

The market has been going to Marian Park for almost a year now and Loaves & Fishes hopes to expand the program to more locations in the future.

Loaves & Fishes also offer home delivery as another option for those who can’t make it to the pantry. You can find out more on their website.
