Representative Peter Roskam and Mayor Steve Chirico recognized Neuqua Valley High School student Trisha Prabhu at City Hall, for her continued efforts to combat cyber bullying. Prabhu’s ‘Re-Think’ app prompts users when they type something that could be considered harmful, and asks if they’d like to reconsider.
And the DuPage County Board honored the family of Ronald Allen, a Naperville man and community activist who was shot and killed while driving home from Chicago on December 2, 2016. The board celebrated his efforts to make our community a better place, reading a Martin Luther King Jr. Day proclamation in his honor.
Ronald Allen was 73.
