The Naperville Public Library has a unique take on March Madness.
Instead of basketball, this March Madness is all about young adult books.
“We pick the books from 2016, that came out in 2016, and we put them in brackets, just like March Madness. And we have our patrons vote on their favorite from the previous year,” said Teen Services Librarian at the Naper Boulveard Library, Stacey Wenslauskis. “So every year we do this, and each week we narrow down the brackets, just like if you were playing March Madness, until we have our championship round.”
From now through the end of March, you can vote for your favorite 2016 young adult, or YA book on the library’s website, with the ultimate winner announced on April 4.
The tournament includes everything from fantasy, to romance, to graphic novels, and every title in the competition can be found at all of the Naperville Public Library locations.
This is the fifth year for the library’s YA March Madness.
