How S.U.C.C.E.S.S Formed

S.U.C.C.E.S.S hosted its eighth annual cookout for District 203 faculty, students, and family.

“S.U.C.C.E.S.S started in roughly 2010 at Naperville North High School when Kevin Pops was the principal and a group of parents got together and he wanted to know how he could help, and we wanted to know how we could help our kids,” said Pamela Dandridge, co-founder of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. “And so from that discussion S.U.C.C.E.S.S was born.”

The event’s aim is to bring people from different D203 schools together.

“We look at it as a time to bring the community together and just fellowship. So it started on the premises that we didn’t know each other and we’re coming from different schools. So instead of seeing somebody who’s a stranger when you’re going to the store, you actually see somebody you know even though they’re from a different school,” said Dandridge. “It’s an awesome time and we always feel better over food. We celebrate anything over food.”
